The Monarch 61 is apparently a descendant of the earlier CK. The basic bed and headstock appear very similar, but there's a shroud of complex castings over most of the headstock, which makes it difficult to find a place to run a cable into the control enclosure in the base without interfering with some access cover or other. I found a good spot, but drilling a hole there was impossible by ordinary means, so I made my own variation on a Cole drill. It took about 20 minutes to drill a 1/2" hole thru about 1" of cast iron, 1/3 rev at a time.
